Morning Thought: Ask and It Will Be Given to You

Bible Verse:

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you." — Matthew 7:7

In John 15:11, Jesus says, "I have told you this..." Jesus teaches us many things so that we may live with joy. One of His encouraging teachings is found in Matthew 7:7: "Ask, and it will be given to you."

Many times, we try to carry our burdens alone. We worry, struggle, and search for answers by ourselves. But Jesus invites us to come to Him. He tells us to ask, seek, and knock.

This verse reminds us that God is not distant. He listens when we pray. He cares about our needs, our fears, and our dreams. When we seek Him, we find His guidance. When we knock, He opens doors according to His will.

Sometimes God's answers may not come immediately. Sometimes His answer may be different from what we expect. Yet we can trust that He knows what is best for us.

As you begin this day, do not carry your concerns alone. Bring them to God in prayer. Ask with faith, seek with hope, and knock with confidence.

Today, remember: God is always ready to listen, guide, and provide.

Jesus teaches us many things so that we may live with joy and purpose. One of His powerful teachings is: "You are the light of the world." Light brings hope, direction, and comfort. In the same way, Jesus calls His followers to be a light wherever they are. We do not need to do great things to shine. Simple acts of kindness, honesty, encouragement, and love can make a big difference in someone's life. Every morning is a new opportunity to reflect the character of Christ. A gentle word can brighten someone's day. A helping hand can bring hope. A forgiving heart can bring peace. When we live in a way that honors God, our lives become a light to others. The world often focuses on darkness, problems, and negativity. But Jesus calls us to shine with faith, hope, and love...

Bible Verse: Forgive, and you will be forgiven.  Luke 6:37 In John 15:11, Jesus says, “I have told you this…” He teaches us many things so that our lives may be filled with His joy. One of His challenging yet life-changing teachings is: “Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” Forgiveness is not always easy. People may hurt us through their words, actions, or decisions. Our natural response is often anger or bitterness. But Jesus calls us to choose a different path—the path of forgiveness. Forgiveness does not mean that what happened was right. It means that we refuse to let pain control our hearts. When we forgive, we free ourselves from carrying the heavy burden of resentment. A Christian lifestyle reflects the character of Christ. Jesus forgave those who rejected Him, and He calls us to show the same grace to others. Holding on to bitterness steals our peace, but forgiveness opens the door to healing and restoration.
